In today's business environment, with minimal face-to-face interaction and a focus on remote work relationships, good communication is more critical than ever. The ability to send clear, concise messages and listen effectively can mean the difference between successful business relationships and lost productivity.

Achieving Communication Effectiveness provides the tools needed to function more productively through improved interpersonal communication skills. After building a shared awareness of the value of effective communications, participants learn how to develop clear, concise messages that gain credibility, persuade and influence others, and increase efficiency.


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Administrative and support personnel will learn effective communication techniques thereby opening the door to dialogue, negotiation, and compromise. Participants will also be trained to function more productively through improved communication skills. More accomplished communicators will work well with others to get tasks done faster and with fewer mistakes. Support staff who are skilled communicators will be respected within the organization, because they understand instruction, get their thoughts across, influence others, and stimulate new ideas. As a result, organizational productivity will increase.

To reinforce the learning from this program, it is recommended that you also use the Participant Workbook - it serves as a companion to the class. Though not required, the workbook provides the learner with more information, references for future use and a handy troubleshooting guide for this skill. Designed for use with the classroom version of this course, the participant workbook does not correspond directly to the online course - it is, however, a valuable resource for practice of the skills and for reinforcement and is highly recommended.
